On Saturday, May 2, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Tanta University, hosted a meeting between Prof. Afaf Basal, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Tanta University, and Prof. Nehal El-Mashed, Board Member of the Egyptian Cancer Society and Professor of Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University.

Representing the Society, Prof. Nehal El-Mashed extended her congratulations to the Dean of the Faculty, faculty members, teaching assistants, students, graduates, and nursing staff on the occasion of the International Nurses Day celebration. She expressed her appreciation to the Faculty administration and commended the presence of the Oncology Nursing Program, highlighting her admiration for the students’ performance during their training at the University Oncology Center.

Prof. Afaf Basal, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that nursing is not merely a profession but a noble humanitarian mission that embodies the highest values of compassion, dedication, and selfless service. She noted that nurses have consistently proven themselves to be exemplary models of commitment and competence, particularly in the face of various healthcare challenges.
